The Dental Assisting and Team Institute was founded with one clear mission: to empower the next generation of dental health professionals with the real-world skills, clinical knowledge, and confidence they need to thrive.
Our program is dentist-led, hands-on, and held inside a real working dental office — because we believe the best training happens where the real work is done. In just 8 weeks, our students go from beginners to certified, job-ready dental assistants.

Lead Dentist & Instructor
Dr. Rudnick has been in private practice since 1996, bringing nearly three decades of clinical excellence to every lesson. Specializing in cosmetic dentistry, TMJ/neuromuscular dentistry, and dental implants, he leads our program with the belief that real-world experience is the best teacher.

With over 20 years of hands-on dental experience and more than 10 years of teaching the dental assisting program, Andrea is the heart of our institute. Her dedication, energy, and genuine love for her students make every class feel like family.

Evidence of high school diploma, certification, or GED
Applicants must receive a catalog one week before enrollment
Possess a valid Driver’s License or State ID
$600 deposit required; payment plan or full tuition available
One-day classes require a $100 deposit to secure your spot

What is the cost of the program at the Dental Assisting and Team Institute?
The cost of our program is $3800. This includes books and scrubs. There are no other fees.
How long is the program at the Dental Assisting and Team Institute?
8 Weeks.
Who will be teaching the students the course material?
At the Dental Assisting and Team Institute you will benefit by learning from both our dental assistant instructor and a licensed dentist. Our dental assistant instructor will help you gain classroom skills from her 22 years in dentistry and Dr Rudnick our licensed dentist will add to your knowledge and have you put your newly acquired skills to use chairside with him in your externship. So you benefit from the best of both worlds!
Does the Dental Assisting and Team Institute offer a diploma, degree or certificate in Dental Assisting?
Provided you successfully complete our certification program, you will receive a certificate of completion in Expanded Functions Dental Assisting and a Dental X-Ray certificate. Both are recognized and approved by the state of Florida.
After completing the Program at the Dental Assisting and Team Institute, will I have to complete any other schooling or take any other tests?
Once you have successfully completed our program, you will receive a certificate for Entry Level Dental Assisting with EFDA Training. No further schooling or testing will be required.
What other costs are there for the program at the Dental Assisting and Team Institute?
The tuition for our Certification Course is $3800. No other fees are necessary.
Financing Options
We offer various payment plans to help break up the cost of the curriculum for you. We also accept cash, check and all major credit cards.
How many tests will I have to take at the Dental Assisting and Team Institute?
There will be end of the chapter quizzes and a final examination.
How long do I have to complete my externship?
Your externship is a total of 60 hours to be completed in a dental office. We would love for you to partner with our very own Dr. Rudnick or one of our affiliates close to you. You can complete this during the program by utilizing another day in the week for your externship hours. In this way you will complete the program at the end of the 8 weeks with all required hours. If you will be unable to complete externship at the same time as the program then we will give you an additional 3 months to compete those hours and receive your EFDA certification.
What is your school's license?
The Dental Assisting and Team Institute is licensed by CIE, The Florida Department of Education, and Approved by The Florida Board of Dentistry.
